Type 1 Diabetic having trouble loosing weight

I have trying to loose weight for about a year and keep gaining. I've gone from 145lbs to 171lbs & am completely frustrated. I have been working out more for the last two months and this has made me gain more weight. I normally walk at 4-6 mph, do Insanity circuit training or Slim in 6. I'm keeping my diet very close to the 1200 calories per day. I almost wonder if I'm not eating enough for the amount of exercise I'm doing. I've asked my dietitian and endocrinologist & we've documented & tracked & they have not been able to give any helpful recommendations. Any new recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Are any other type 1 diabetics having trouble loosing weight? Does it just take us longer to get started?
