Good Morning-
I am new to the site but not new to eating healthy. My name is Blythe, I am a 37 yr old mom of 5 boys; ages 18, 17, 11, 10, and almost 9. I started with Weight Watchers in 2001 after the birth of my 3rd son and was very successful and continued in between pregnancies. I actually love(d) the program and would still be doing it if I had the time to get to meetings and such so I thought I would try something new, which is why I am here. As you can already see, I tend to ramble and get a little long-winded so please bear with me lol.
I have lost a lot of weight in the past, in fact my last journey left me about 25lbs down when I had to have ovarian surgery to remove a cyst, which along with the cyst they ended up removing a complete ovary plus 2/3 of the remaining ovary. I was down for about 6-8 wks, where I couldn't exercise. After the surgery I found myself stuck at that weight no matter what I did, diet, exercise... nothing was working anymore.
Fast forward a little... we made some life changes, we moved out of state due to a job promotion/transfer on my husband's part. I started working the night shift, which let me tell you is horrible on the eating schedule. This brings me to a lot of my frustrations. On top of working nights, I have Epilepsy. Sleep for me is crucial. If I wake too early, I am exhausted at work which puts me at risk for a seizure. Most of the time, I have a very hard time even getting out of bed to get ready.
Long story shorter, I decided it was finally time to get my butt in gear not only for myself (primarily for myself) but because my best friend's wedding is only a year away and she's asked me to stand up for her as her Matron of Honor (I hate that word.. makes me feel so old lol) and I want to look my very best for her on her special day.
And that is me... mostly
