help

I need help with something.i keep getting different answers for this question.should i lose the weight first before toning my body or should i lose the weight and do strengthen training.....the reason why i ask is cause i had 2 c-sections and i have that pouch on my lower stomach and it looks nasty i hate it.thats one reason why i made the choice to lose weight

I'm not a professional when it comes to this sort of thing but surely it would be better to do a bit of each and then increase the training as the weight goes.

Toning = losing fat. Fat loss = diet. But to have the "toned" look you need sufficient muscle mass underneath the fat.

I'd recommend fat loss alongside a good progressive weight lifting regimen.

I agree with the above. Muscle burns fat and in order to reduce fat, you have to eat clean and do cardio and strenghth exercise.

I have this game that has like 6-7 work outs.its for the ps2 tho.its called yourself fitness. And i have been doing the weight loss work out and the cardio work out for now they both have strengthen training in them.i also walk while pushing a stroller and walk up and down stairs.this is my second week working out and dieting.so what else do u think i should be doing.im on a 1200 calorie diet.sometimes its about 1300-1400 on some days.
  • You should do both at the same time.
Buy a Zumba dvd. That will tighten you up for sure :)
I've started to do exercises from the website zuzkalight.com. I can not keep up with her yet, but oh boy is she good ! The best of all is that her training is from 10-20 min long, but they are intensive and give you result. She has also just come ut with a DVD series, but since I don't live in the US I can not buy that until late March. Trust me, when that day come, I will.
What's most important is that you do not do the same training every day, and that you find something you like, cause if not, it's just going to be a struggle. I think it'a important that we also are having some fun while training :)

I do both cardio and strength training. I do P90X 2 days a week and then do zumba 3 days a week and it seems to be working out very well. 21 ounds and 3 pant sizes down in 3 months. I do them at home too. The P90X, i just switch them up, but i always try to do a lower body workout one day and an upper body workout the other day. Good Luck! Also, eating real clean foods is the only way to go as far as diet if you ask me
