Pushing a Stroller?

My hip's hurting, so I can't run or do The Shred, which bums me out.

So I'm putting my kids -- big ones, ages 3 and 5, weighing together 92 pounds -- in the stroller and heading to our beach. It's a 4-mile round trip. (I've done it with the 3-year-old alone the last 2 days. great workout and a way to be calm and still for a sick little boy.)

With one kid, I was at a 4.5 mph pace for 64 minutes. (with stops along the way of course)

With 2, it'll be a lot more effort.

What are you guys doing for exercise while pushing stroller? How do you accommodate for it?
Thank you!

http://www.fatburn.com/free_tool_activity_burn.asp Try this link. I believe they have an option for "walking while pushing stroller" so you can get an idea of how many cals you are burning. This is a link I use quite a bit. Hope it helps!

Glad to hear I am not the only one who walks with the kids in a stroller. I pushed my granddaughter and niece last week and between the two it was about 75lbs...wished I had known how to add that to my list
