  • The subject line might not be anything to be proud of, and only in a messed up world would being overweight be considered a good thing. However, I bring this up as a success story because I am no longer considered obese.
    Next stop: NORMAL.

I can't wait to be overweight too! 40 lbs to go!

    congrats!!

i just crossed that threshhold this week too!

    cheers to being 'overweight"

look out 'normal' here we come.
  • Congratulations!!!!

I'm overweight based on the BMI scale. I throw it out! I'm 155 and 5' 1.5". I could lose about 5-10 lbs to feel and look healthier but unless I get to 130's, then I will still be "overweight" even though I will be comfortable and healthy with my body at 145.

Throw the BMI scale out :)

I guess its true, BMI is just an ideal scale, not a required scale.
  • Awesome

    Yup
  • Terrific!!

    :blushing:

  • Congratulations! I loved that crossover. The next one I had was having to move across the aisle to the 'misses' section of the store -- all the sizes with w after them were too big -- and I loved that one even more.

Twenty one pounds and I'll be normal (in weight anyway :D) And ten pounds after that, I'll be at goal.

I forgot about shopping! I'd bet that was an incredible feeling. Did you look over to where you used to shop I thought "Not anymore  "? I think I'm going to do that...Knowing me I'd probably say it out loud instead and people would look at me weird. :indifferent:

Well good luck on your journey :drinker:
  • Yayyyyy! Good for you! I have 10 more lbs to go before I am overweight!

    Thank you
Ten pounds? You'll knock 'em out like a champ
  • Congrats!!!!!
I crossed this line about a month ago and never realized it until reading your post (I had to look back and calculate :) ). Thanks for sharing, it feels so good to not I am not obese anymore

    Thank you

You did great!Congrats.....I have 15 more pounds to lose before I become normal....You will soon be normal...Its a great step...time to celebrate with nice clothes....:drinker:
  • I just found a BMI chart and discovered that I am in the overweight category too! The goal weight my doctor set for me is still within the overweight area though... So, unless she will reconsider my goal weight, I may not get to "normal" :'( I am tempted to still define my own goal weight at the top end of normal.

Well maybe you need to be in the "overweight" category of the BMI do to health issues.
Normal is just a label, as long as you're healthy, that's all that matters
Well, if you get to the weight she said and feel like you could reach normal, more power to you!
    Good luck!
  • Congrats!!! :flowerforyou:

    Thank you :blushing:
  • Congrats! I understand completely!

    Thanks!
Good, when I posted this I thought I was going crazy!
  • Doesn't it feel magical!!?? haha. Congrats!!! You are doing great! :D

A bit, yea! It's no Hogwarts but, it is up there.
    Thanks!
  • Yep it is a great feeling. When I did it it was shortly before the holidays and next time I weighed in I was back up a pound over the point where I was obese. Very depressing that. I went ahead and dropped 14 lbs in the following 7 weeks though to put it very firmly in the rearview mirror.

The end of the year holidays are the worst! Especially since they are practically back to back to back to back.
Well, you got back on track and that's worth celebrating :drinker:
  • congrats!!

i just crossed that threshhold this week too!

    cheers to being 'overweight"

look out 'normal' here we come.

    Thanks!
    Congrats to you as well!

    Cheers!

I hope they're ready for us
