I am confused about average net calories over weekly goal!

Hi everyone,
I've been using MFP since November on my iPhone and have just swtiched phones to a new model which means I had to download the app again...what's confusing me is that before when I looked at my weekly summary it said:
200 kcals over weekly goal
or
40 kcals under weekly goal
Basically it seemed to average out my calories and tell me if I was under or over and it was normally by a small amount (because it averaged it out) for example I follow a 1,200 kcal diet but one day I might go over by 200 kcals and one day I might be 150 kcals under so it would average this out over the course of the week.
Now my display is showing some very large numbers:
last week I was apparently 1179 kcals over my weekly goal (which was done over a few days) but some days I was under and it doesn't seem to have accounted for this?
How do I get my weekly average back instead of it telling me how many calories I ate over my 1,200 limit?
I hope that makes some sort of sense!
Rebecca
