7000 calories deficit

I had a 7000 calorie deficit for the week, walked 5 miles for 5 days of that week, and only lost .5lbs. Whats the problem? I thought with that big of a deficit I would lose 1.5-2 lbs a week. These stats came from my fitbit report for the weekending 2/17. I am using the harder plan, on fitbit site, which says 1000 calorie deficit per day should cause me to lose 1.5-2 lbs per weeks. I dont eat a lot of junk food but when I do I make sure to log it. I measure or weigh my foods and dont do a lot of snacking. I do not drink soft drinks ever, but I do drink Propel Zero, Mio, and unsweetened iced tea. I also have 2 cups of coffee every morning and another in the evening after dinner.
Any ideas or advice?

It takes time. Weight loss doesn't automatically result even when you've one everything right- your body is a bit more complex than that.

i'm the same, only lost 0.2lb this week. your body's just f*cking with you - keep it up.
  • Weight loss is never linear. Give it time. Your body will catch up and your hard work will be reflected in mirror, on the scale, and with the tape measure. Stick with it.

You have too high of a deficit. Try lowering it...too high of a deficit will cause muscle loss.... more losses than you would experience with proper deficit.

Weight loss is not linear. You will not lose each and every week regardless of what you do. Your body also doesn't respond to the simple math around weight loss.
