I know it's a crock, but I see that stupid ad on the site constantly. So what are they? LOL

I have no idea...the only thing I know for certain is that whole foods are better than processed foods. I do eat the occasional processed food but I try to pick good ones. Basically, for me it's trying to remind myself to buy in the fresh food sections of the grocery store.0 -
I did click on that link once out of curiosity. It takes you to the Beyond Diet website, and a 20 minute video schpeel where you never do really find out anything until you pay them money and sign up. That's 1/2 hour out of my life I'll never get back. My guess is it would be foods high in sugar.0

Oh believe me, par-boiled sprouts drained and then fried up with some pancetta, diced onion and for Winter comfort, a few chestnuts....they're gorgeous.
They also wok up well if boiled until al dente, then done with some leeks and a little light soy sauce or with a dribble of balsamic vinegar.
People are put off sprouts generally because their first taste of them is often ones that have been boiled until they're a slushy mess...then they're gross.0 -

That sounds amazing, BOTH ways! And I hear you about the slushy mess, I think that's how my fiance got turned off of them, had them once by someone who just didn't know how to cook them properly. No matter what I try he just refuses to eat them. I once tried to be sneaky (because he loves cabbage rolls) I did a reverse version of them and hid the Brussels sprouts inside the meatballs. I was happy, him, not so much. :laugh:0
