Hi MFP friends!
I just finished "Overcoming Overeating" and "Why can't I stop eating?", now I'm reading "Overcoming binge eating" but I know that won't last me long. I need some suggestions on some new reading material. I like books, not reading from the computer (so no links please), I stare at a computer too much as it is.
I've been overweight my entire life, have a bad habit of binge eating, and little motivation for exercise. Reading these books has helped me understand my situation better, and knowledge is power!
If you reply, please tell me the name & author, and why you think it would be good for me to read it.
Thanks very much for your time,
Diane

The Dr. from the BL has a book out called, "Where did all the fat go?". I have not read but a few pages, but it is very interesting so far!!! Good luck!!0

I love love love Jillian Michaels. She does a great job researching and getting to the bottom of things. I haven't read her first book, "Winning by Losing, but have both "Making the Cut" (a little more advanced) and "Master Your Metabolism". I found MYM really interesting. It isn't huge, but talks a lot about what foods are helpful and which are harmful, what you should eat and when. All around very interesting. I also have the latest Biggest Loser book, "6 Weeks to a Healthier You" I really recommend it as well.0

I liked Jillian Michaels, "Master Your Metabolism" also. Some of her views are a little extreme, but the book is very informational and gives a good perspective on the fact that what we eat affects our hormones which in turn affects our metabolism.
I am also trying the Eat Clean Diet (no refined sugar or flour and no pre-packaged, processed foods). The book is just called the Eat Clean Diet by Tosca Reno.0 -
They arent about eating or anything, but I find anything by Deepak Chopra or The Dalai Lama so inspiratiional to read. "Why Is God Laughing" by Deepak Chopra was one of the best I have read, and it really put some things into perspective.0

"The Slow Fat Triathlete" is a good read. I don't know if you are remotely interested in this sport, but it is very motivating. And the same author wrote, "Shaping Up With the Slow Fat Triathlete".0
