Best choice for movie theater?

So, is there a way to have a snack during a movie that won't ruin my diet? They sell diet soda and water, popcorn, sugared nuts, and various candy. Is any of those a better choice or should I skip a snack?
....or maybe sneak something in under my coat?

In my opinion, it's not the snacks themselves, but the huge sizes movie theaters sell that are the issue. Gummi bears and Twizzlers, for instance, are high-sugar, but the rest is mainly gelatin. A handful of either would be fairly easy to fit into your daily calories, as long as you have a friend or two to share the pack with (or the willpower to stop when you've got to, say, 200 calories worth).
If you don't have a friend to share with or much willpower, sneak something in. What? Whatever you like that fits, from a few pieces of chocolate to a sandwich bag of Chex mix or home-popped popcorn. When I do this, I usually buy a bottle of water or a diet Coke at the counter out of a vague sense of guilt, but that is purely my own neurosis.0 -
Air pop your own popcorn, grab a few hard candies and enjoy the movie!0

By the way, what are you going to see?0

This is not classy AT ALL, but I make a bag of lite popcorn and sneak it in my giant purse!0
