Re starting my mission ...

Hi all, I successfully lost weight last year using myfitnesspal, but my daughter's eating issues eventually got in the way and I had to encourage a way of eating which was essentially to just eat without thinking.

A long story short, my daughter is now back into a mental health unit being treated for various issues, including an eating disorder. At the age of 14 this is her second admission.

Myself ...I have succeeded in putting on more weight than ever and am now at my heaviest ever :(

I am ready to restart my eating plan and am aiming for a very sensible weight loss.

I dont want to support under eating or a heavy restriction in calories ... I want to support people who have a very healthy approach to weight loss, maintaining a healthy body and mind.

So I weigh in tomorrow for day 1 ... any body welcome to join me / add me.

Happy losing :D

I wish that I would have worked more with my daughter when she was 14. She also had many psychological and eating problems. She is now 26 years old and weighs about 300 lbs and still has eating and psychological problems. If I had taken a more active role when she was younger I might have been able to help her not to get to where she is now. She now listens to me and we are working together to help us both lose weight and have a better nutritional program. She is the one who introduced me to MFP. Work with your daughter now so you won't regret later that you did not do enough when she was 14. With MFP you can work together here in improving both your lives. The first thing you need to do is to build up positive supporters who will be with you every day to praise you when you are going strong and give you a shoulder to lean on when you feel down. This is a journey that you CAN and must do.
  • Best of luck to you on your journey. Lots of hugs and positive thoughts sent to you during this difficult time. I would love to add you as a friend.
