30DS and 2nd flr apartment living...

I am new to MFP and yesterday was reading about all the people doing 30DS and I hadn't even heard of it. So after all the reading yesterday I got excited and motivated so I ordered my own DVD off Amazon. I am nervous and I concerned as I'm in an upstairs apartment so very concerned about being too loud for the apartment under me. Anyone have suggestions for that?

It's only 20-25 mins, unless the people are real jerks (my neighbors are) and you don't plan on 5am workouts you shouldn't have issues.

I live over jerks who complain constantly, I remind them that I'd rather be doing my insanity 60 mins of jumping at 5am, but do it at 6:30 pm out of courtesy.

I had this problem on a third floor apartment with creaky, wood floors. I bought a $20 puzzle mat off of amazon and it helped some.

My downstairs neighbors are annoying, so I don't really care if they hear me jumping around. IMO, it's only 25 minutes and they can handle it. I'm not clomping around like an elephant (most of the time)... I wear shoes and do some of the jumps on my mat which absorbs the impact. Also focusing on landing lightly is good for some of the exercises too.

You could just go down and ask? couldn't hurt right? like if they say they work during the day and aren't home, then you could try and do it then. or if they work nights, then you could do it then. does your apartment complex have a work out area? you could bring your laptop with you and do the videos on it and wouldn't disturb any neighbors.

I live in a VERY old apartment and my downstairs neighbour is not the nicest...
They have never complained though. I should say I do other forms of cardio instead of jumping jacks and skipping rope (health problems). I use a mat as well.

If they do hear you though, try subbing those cardio moves.
