My Raw Month Update

Day 2.
I didn't think to write a sort of blog/update thing until today.

Today has been pretty good, so far. I ate a proper amount of calories to lose weight etc, but I read something interesting about the raw food "diet": don't count calories when eating vegetables! I am not sure if I can follow that, I know lettuce etc is low calorie, but I am worried I will get overwhelmed if I feel I am over-eating veggies. Any thoughts on this?
I am not feeling more energetic than usual, I can't wait for the apparent energy boost that comes with eating raw, but (gross detail) my body is definitely detoxing itself today!!
I am happy that I've decided to start out with only 80% raw - and although there is no proper way to be sure I am eating that amount of raw food, it is more about consuming mostly vegetables and fruit, as well as soy products. I guess I am sort of vegan now too (not too difficult, because I am strict vegetarian anyway).
I want to add, I am not doing this raw food month just for weight loss, I am doing it because I am so tired all the time, and I am fed up with feeling lethargic and gross. My body seriously needs to get healthy and this challenge will also help me to discipline myself. I hope.

Anyway, it's just 20 past five and I am planning on going to bed early (around 8) in case I do end up getting hungry and failing.

I would track ALL my nutrients, not just calories. Just keep logging into MFP so you can make sure you're getting enough iron and protein and such.

Do you have a juicer? or a good blender? I don't think I could eat raw for very long without doing some of my food in liquid form.
