I'm 24 yrs old. Mother to a 7 yr old lil girl. Basically, I weigh more now then I did when I was nine months pregnant. Ive just slowly been putting on more and more weight throughout the years. Kept saying, well I'll never get over that 150 mark. Went over it. Said theres no way, I will ever weigh over 200. At my heaviest, I was 220. I lost a little dealing with alot of stress through a bad break-up. Went down to 185. Now I'm back at 198!! My goal weight is 160. I don't hardly work out besides just cleaning and playing with my daughter. One of my biggest problems is I'm a really picky eater. I don't like fish, yogurt, dairy products, salad, alot of green vegetables. Ive tried to make myself eat those things but just cant keep them down. I don't know where to start. I read a bunch of success stories. I know its possible, I just feel lost and need some motivation I guess. Anyone wanna point me in right direction..... Or got any really good tips or advice. Id love to hear it. Maybe it will help get me motivated. Thanks!

    Dear Ashley,

Having a darling little girl could be your greatest source of motivation. Take a look at her. Doesn't she deserve to have a fit and healthy mummy who will be with her to love and support her for the rest of her long and happy life? Of course.

So go and look in the mirror. There you will see that mummy. She's in there. Might have gotten a bit lost, but she is there.

Get yourself a notebook and pen and make a plan. Cut inspirational photos out of magazines, find some healthy recipes with real food. Forget takeaway, learn to love fruits and veggies. Fresh food is now your friend. Inspire your daughter to be healthy like her amazing mum. You can do it!!

Eat well, don't starve yourself, have a treat once a week, but count it in your calorie allowance. Start to do some resistance exercises and go for a walk every day.

One day at a time, baby steps will get you there. Don't take your eyes off the prize!!

Good luck, I have faith in you.

your daughters old enough to learn the healthy eating plan with you - make it a game. Get her to pick out healthy foods and you both can eat them. Have you tried the foods you 'don't like'recently? You might have changed your tastes. Log both your excercise on charts on the fridge with gold stars for achieving and if you both achieve you get a special day out together. That sort of thing. Starting is hard but once you've started it becomes real life
