Polar FT 7 waterproof??

I got a polar ft7 after reading that it was water resistant to I think 30m ? Anyway when it arrived and I read the manual it said the little transmitter shouldn’t be washed so its not water proof then ??? I want to use it for swimming but think only the watch and strap are waterproof and since you need the transmitter for it to work thats pretty useless ! Anyone out there with an FT7 use it for swimming

I have used it swimming and it worked.

I got mine for swimming and it works great for me. That's all I use mine for.
