Quick, easy, super healthy chocolate fix, <100kcal!!!!!!!

Hey,

I tried this combination last week when i was trying to recreate some of the food i loved when i went on holiday to Greece last year and couldn't believe how good it was for so little calories, and has high protein.

All i did was mix Greek yogurt 0% fat (i use Total, but i am from the UK) with Cadburys 40kcal hot chocolate powder and a tad of water. So rich, creamy and chocolately.

100g of Total 0% Greek yogurt 57kcal, 10.3g protein
3 teaspoons of cadburys hot chocolate powder, 40kcal

TOTAL: 97kcal

(Note: doesn't really matter which way round you mix it, i found it easier to mix a bit of water with the powder to make it into a paste then mix it into the yogurt)

I have also started to mix it with fruit, such as half a banana or strawberrys and seeds if i need some extra fruit or need a few extra calories.

If you have a few calories going spare you could even add a teaspoon of peanut butter or nutella or protein powder.

Its maybe so obvious to many of you, but i had to share as its was so tasty and really quick to make if your peakish and helps me on my high protein diet.

Enjoy!

This is a fantastic idea! Though those who looking for lower sugar option can consider using hershey's cocoa powder (the special dark is better... though both original and dark used cocoa processed with alkali... a different can of wroms). 6 ounces of nonfat plain chobanis greek yogurt is 100 calories, one tablespoon of the powder makes it super chocolately and brings it to only 110 total.

I don't think it's obvious, it's little things like that I would never think to do

This will be perfect after dinner as I was wondering what to do with my spare 100 cals, thanks!
  • as the American child of an English immigrant...I miss Cadbury's drinking chocolate. so much better than the hot cocoa mixes available here.
  • Well i am glad it has helped you guys out. Cabdurys hot chocolate is amazing, i have tried so many, but that one is the only one full of flavour for 40kcal.

Enjoy the receipe and have fun creating new combinations!
