hi all
almost done a month now and finding it quite easy to stay under the calorie allowance of 1820
before stating this I was eating a lot of sugary sweets and have replaced all these with fruit
but looking on my info these fruits are taking me over the sugar allowance every day
is this ok as its all " natural sugars " or should I work at cutting back on these as well ?

You will find varying answers on this. Fruit sugar is obviously not as bad as processed white sugar but its still high in sugar and if you are close to goal this may affect you. I've started choosing "lower sugar" fruit options such as berries. Its a personal choice. Some people say all sugar is bad, some say its offset by the other benefits of fruit.0

The fiber that goes along with the sugar in fruit is usually what changes how much and how quickly it raises your blood sugar. When your blood sugar spikes too quickly you get a greater insulin response which ends up taking all that sugar and converting it to fat cells. You can get pretty much all the benefits from fruit eating vegetables. I would suggest trying to reduce your fruit for a period and see what happens. Replacing the snack with something like a mini meal that has protein and healthy fat or halving the fruit portion and pairing it with something else like almonds or other nuts.
If you are getting a consistent weight loss doing what you're are doing I wouldn't stress too much about it. Just the fact that you're eating natural foods is a huge plus. Where a lot of people start to get into trouble is when they start finding "healthy" versions of junk food they used to eat before they lost weight and end up over eating again because they think it is healthy.0
