Hey all, I'm not even 100% sure this is the right board to post this on, but I'm gonna give this board a try. You c an read the next two paragraphs of about me stuff that I felt the need to include, or skip down to the last little paragraph of actual questions. Your choice, but thanks for reading it this far
So I've been on my journey for a little less then a year now(with a six month sickness/hospitalization/recovery thrown in the middle,) and I'm about halfway to my goal. One thing I've noticed along this journey is that I've been hearing something I've never really heard in my life: I'm inspiring! As soon as I started noticing changes in myself from the changes I was making to my lifestyle, I could not shut up about it. I wanted/want everyone I meet to feel as awesome as I was! I've heard from a few people that my enthusiasm made them want to get healthier and get teased by some people at the gym that I should be leading classes.
Well this got me thinking, why not? I've been planning on going back to school this summer/fall but have never been able to think of anything I could picture myself doing... until now. To make an already getting long story a little shorter I've been seriously thinking about becoming a fitness instructor and/or nutrition. I think something in nutrition would be the ultimate goal, but the thought as also crossed my mind to get my certification in health and fitness then work as an instructor while I go back and get a degree in nutrition.
So where I'm really going with this post is really going is: Is there anyone out there that has a job in nutrition or as a trainer? What do you think of it? What certifications/ schooling did you do? What the heck is difference between a dietitian and and licensed nutritionist? And anything else relevant that I haven't even though of.
Thanks in advance for any help
