HELP!: Ripped in 30 or 30 Day Shred?

Hi there everyone, it's Lea! I will be going on my senior trip in 51 days (April 17th). We are going to Florida and I will be in a bikini most of the time. I am not 100% where I want to be yet weight wise, but I have come a very long way. I have lost about 10 pounds since joining in August (but I have also gained a lot of muscle - especially in arms and legs).
Since I have a bit of time before the trip in addition to my normal workouts (running, going to gym, strength - legs, arms, abs), I would like to do either Ripped in 30 or 30 Day Shred.
I have done BOTH! I had great results with 30DS over the summer, but terrible results with RI30 (At the time of RI30, I was not eating enough), I have now upped my calories and overcome that plateau.
So since I have done both, I am at a crossroads at which one I should do before my trip. I'm not looking to lose a ton of weight (I have only lost 2 or 3 pounds from each DVD), but to slim down my stomach a bit and get rid of some of my love handles.
Not to brag, but I am quite bulky in my arms, hips, and legs, so I am not looking to gain anymore muscle there.
HELP! Which DVD should I do?
I would REALLY appreciate your input! It would mean a lot to me because I do not know what to do?
Ripped in 30 or 30 Day Shred?!
Thank you in advance everyone!

I know this isn't your question, but can you get Jillian's 6 Week 6 Pack DVD? It has made a huge difference in my stomach. I think I'm built like you where I have naturally bulky arms and legs and 6W6P was a perfect addition to my other workouts. I see a little baby 6 pack starting to form! It should be like $8-$10 at Walmart/Target.
If you can't buy another one, I would say maybe do 30DS with higher weights than last time, and eat right of course!0 -
I've done both and noticed a lot more inch loss with 30DS but it could be because I did that one first and maybe by the time I did RI30 the inch loss slowed down.
I think RI30 is slightly better in terms of the boredom factor as you switch a little sooner from one level to the next, but personally I always find myself going back to 30DS as I was surprised how fast I noticed the changes start to appear both in fitness and in body appearance.0 -
What is this 30 Day Shred I keep hearing about?0

It's a DVD by the Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels. Kind of like circuit training in 3 levels where you do 10 days per level. It's approximately 25 minutes per day so not excessive but people get some great results with it. If you want to take a look it's on You Tube.0

I am doing ripped in 30 now. I love this way more than 30 day shred. I enjoy the variety.0

I was very bored with 30 Day Shred, but I can acknowledge that it's a great workout. My vote would be for Ripped in 30, but whichever you will stick with should be the winner. ;-)
Enjoy spring break!0 -
I'd choose 30 Day Shred, I had better results with it and prefer it as a workout.
Alternatively - you could try one of her other DVDs? Banish Fat Boost Metabolism is AMAZING. I am literally shedding inches on practically a weekly basis with that at the moment.
I have also heard good things about 6 weeks 6 pack although I haven't tried it and I'd say if you are looking to rock a bikini it may be your best bet as it's a lot of core exercises!0 -

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jillian-Michaels-Day-Shred-DVD/dp/B002RNOS2Yhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Pc-NizMgg8 (I believe you can get all 3 levels on youtube)
Basically it's a 30 day program designed to make you build muscle, lose inches and for some people (not all) to drop pounds. It's more about shaping your body and it's great for getting you into a routine of fitness every day.
Some do it 6 days per week, I personally did it 7 days a week and had great results in my first month of working out (ever). It converted me to being a lover of Jillian and I have her to thank for a huge change in my body.
DEFINITELY check it out!
It works with 3 levels and you follow each for 10 days, designed to build up your strength for the next level.0
