Does running miles at different times in a day still count?

I want to know if I run 4.5 miles in the morning and then when I get more time run 2 more miles in the evening is that going to give the same benefit as if I would have ran them at the same time???

I've heard sometimes its better that way. Unless you're aiming strictly for endurance I don't see a difference.

Oh ok thank you, no I am not aiming for endurance, I just have time issues.... :) Plus I am stuck at a 2 week platuea and I thought adding in some extra might do the trick to break it!!!
    Thank you.
