Good morning everybody old and new hope everybody has an amazing funfilled day.

Today was elliptical managed 30 mins on a lower setting than usual after taking last week off because this chest infection it has really killed me I really struggled to get to 30 mins didn't think it wise to push too hard still having the occasional coughing fit but getting better.

Will go for a walk later on then I have to go to the supermarket, bank and post office then I am taking the dog to the vets to get her heart murmur checked up on (kinda don't want to know so not looking forward to it)

Tomorrow will be core secrets DVD 45 mins.

Weigh day this week will be scrapped I am only going to weigh in every 2 weeks hopefully see more progress that way.

Happy Tuesday all.

    That's the spirit! I've found, just for me personally, that when I can get myself to work out either during an illness or in recovery i come back quicker when I work out -- and I do it just like you did slow at the start and gradually as I got better I worked up the intensity.

    Hope you're back to your old self soon.:flowerforyou:

    Vicky,
    I hope you get better really fast! That nagging cough can be painful and wear you down. It will go away though!:flowerforyou:
    Well, yesterday was a good day for me. I drank all my water. I walked and ran (ran for 4 minutes! That's a first!), cleaned the house for about two hours (though for some reason I can't tell I did anything!:grumble: ) and ate really healthy. So I did good! Toot toot!
    Today I need to work out extra hard because my hubby and I are suppose to go out to dinner tonight and I think he's taking me to Olive Garden since we have a gift card. I am blowing my Multiple Food Elimination diet tonight. At least it's early in the diet, so maybe I can just do it for a couple of extra days or something. But my husband and I NEVER go out on a date so I am planning to get dessert! I'd better burn a lot of calories today!
    Have a good workout day!

    So, yesterday I did all kinds of things to "earn" extra steps. And then, when I got home from work, I saw my pedometer on my desk. I'd forgotten to wear it. Um. . .oops.

    Today is a BOSU class and a weights class and a walk to get there.

    Hope you're right as rain again soon, Vicky.

    Have a great Tuesday everybody!:flowerforyou:

    Yesterday I got up extra early for my weights class - and it was LAME! Now I know why weights only burns 200 some odd calories an hour. My normal weights class is more like circuit training - so I'm going to count it as such. My HRM arrives tomorrow, so I guess I'll find out the truth!

    Start strong everyone!

    Good Morning Everyone! I'm excited about our Victorious Victoria Challenge!

    Vicky -- hope you feel better soon. A nice, slow return is the way to go since you're still recovering.

    Mary -- I find that those weight classes are either really challenging or uber-lame. I like the circuit training too since it keeps your heart rate up.

    Mechanic Mom -- what's the "multiple food elimination" diet that you are doing?

    Yesterday was a great day.
    * I ate mindfully and slowly (God, it's so hard to not eat in front of the TV! I realized that I often "look forward" to dinner in front of the TV. It's downright Pavlovian).
    * Got in my 30 minutes of walking, and caught the sunset
    * Did Jillian Michaels "Shred 2" workout -- yowza
    * OH! And my new "Easter Resolution" -- I don't check my email or turn on my computer until I've done my stretching exercises for my leg and back.

    Today I'm going to:
    * Eat mindfully and slowly
    * Walk for 30 minutes
    * Swim for 30 minutes
    * Yoga for 20 minutes before bed

    I have been doing the Biggest Loser Cardio Max DVD for 10 weeks now. I just started using a heart rate monitor today. Previously, I used a figure of 350 calories burned each day that I did the full 50 minutes and added that to my caloric intake for the day. With the monitor, I never reached my max heartrate but at the end of 50 minutes, the calculator said 820! I do the video Monday through Friday with power sculpt for 30 minutes M W & F. The way I see it, I'm starving! I don't feel like I am-I actually feel great. I just can't get over the difference.

    I've lost 11 pounds since I started this workout routine. It just seems to me that if I'm cutting over 1000 calories a day from my diet, I should have a bigger weight loss? Maybe I AM starving myself?

    Hi Everyone,

    Good name for our new challenge! It took me a minute to find you all. I still want 8 lbs gone.

    The good news is my back is feeling better, slowly but surely. So I"m still doing PT and go to see her tomorrow for more exercises.

    Bad new is tomorrow I leave for Mass to be with my Mom for awhile. I'll try to keep up with you guys via the library but I don't expect to get there to often.

    Good luck girls! I'll see you in awhile.

    Hey all!

    Worked out this morning... for about 40 minutes before school.
    My goal is to work out at least 4 days a week 40-60 minutes.

    So today I walked, did 50 jumping jacks, walked some more.

    My goal is to lose about 10 pounds (about 1 pound a week) for Victoria Day!!!
