TDEE questions

So I have hit a wall and I need to start losing again. I want to use the TDEE and it tells me that I need 3931 calories. So if I cut that by 20% that is 3144.8 but MFP tells me to be at about 2350? Then there is the exercise calories to eat them back or not to? I am now in a state of confusion. Any advice would be helpful.

I like this TDEE calculator because you can add all the various levels of exertion for a day to see a better TDEE estimate. Then just reduce it by whatever measure you see fit and see how it works out. You can always adjust as needed. Just remember this already includes all general activity and exercise so you would not add that as it is already in there.

Hi, if you use the TDEE method less 20%, you don't eat back exercise calories, it's all inclusive.

If you use MFP calculation, you DO eat back exercise calories.

Not eating enough can place your body under too much stress and cause a plateau, so try eating more, but still under TDEE.

    Good luck!
