OK, I'll admit it I have the mentality of a 12 year old if you want to get me to move you have to promise presents. I need to be rewarded with something. Right now I have it set up that every 10lbs I get a new prize of some sort.

I was thinking what will I do IF I ever get to maintenance? I've decided I'll reward myself for other things dropping a certain body fat %, being about to do X number of push ups, run 2 miles in X amount of time, reduce me waist to X amount of inches, ect. I'll find something when it comes to getting new toys I ill find some sort of motivational intrinsic factor.

Do you maintainers continue to reward yourself? What do you reward yourself with?

Maintaining and enjoying life IS the reward for me! I have found maintenance to be quite easy, although I still log my food after 10 months of maintenance.

I did motivate myself during weight loss with those sorts of rewards but now that I'm in maintenance, I feel that this is what I want; so it doesn't occur to me to reward myself for it, if that makes sense? I haven't been able to get out and exercise the last few days and it's driving me crazy! So, really, at this point, continuing to exercise, getting faster, stronger, more muscle; those have become the carrots for me :-)

New clothes each season I maintain. I will probably do something else for the first year as well. I am so scared I will gain weight back.
