This is a very interesting study...can't wait to read the actual study...but they halted the study before it was complete (halted five years in) because the results were so overwhelmingly positive and unexpected, that not posting the results was not really an option and was considered irresponsible. .
Yay for nuts, olive oil, fish, vegetables, and fruits!! Oh, and the most important, wine with meals.
Mediterranean Diet for the win.
It was picked up in the front section of my local paper today, too.
It was stated that 30% of heart disease/(and I believe Cardiovascular disease) patients benefit. 30% is huge.
