Gee thanks! But no..

I was recently asked if I was pregnant. I tend to get distended when I drink a lot of water or eat a bit much of food. I have a workout buddy, I'll call her Sandra lol, and she is slender and tall. She decided to ask me said question. My reply? "No, just fat, but thanks for asking!" I have been working out and trying really hard to deminish my pooch, that darn pooch... I wasn't too bothered which surprised me since I know I am still a work in progress. When I get my 6 pack in a few more weeks I'll be sure to throw them in her face. Any one have any awkward moments with the same question? Were you surprised for not punching the person in the face?

I have had this happen before. A few times by random stranger congratulating me and once by my own parents! I also tend to become distended when I eat a little too much. It doesn't help if the rest of your body looks fairly small but your belly gets big. I've found that posture can greatly improve the appearance of the lower belly pooch. I've started doing some hip stretches and trying to notice when I'm sticking my butt out when walking or standing. It makes my belly appear to be more flat at the bottom so I don't look like I'm pregnant.

    it sucks.

especially when we imagine other people saying these things out loud to us.
