Weight fluctuation questions

For the longest time my weight has been very steady with only about a 4-5 pound fluctuation during the month. Lately, my weight has been all over the board! I am talking about as much as a 9 pound fluctuation! My clothes are fitting properly and maybe even a little better than normal. The only thing that I have been doing differently is that I have been incorporating strength training into my exercise for about 2 months now (lifting heavier weights). It's been fluctuating so much that I'm not even sure what my true weight is right now. There is no pattern to this weight loss/gain at all.
Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? I feel like I'm going crazy!
Any advice would be appreciated!

It is most likely just a fluctuation due to water retention issues. When you lift weights your muscles will retain water to help repair themselves. That along with the normal changes in weight could be causing it.
Best way to get an accurate-ish view of your weight would be to take a few days off of exercise and lifting... than weight yourself.0
