Hello
Five years ago, I received a position sitting on my butt all day long. Four years ago, I gave up smoking. I have added 39 pounds to my 5’2” frame that was already 25 pounds overweight so you can only imagine what a difference 5 years, a desk and no cigarettes make.
In December 2012 when I could no longer bend over and tie my shoes without putting my foot up on a chair, I resolved that this was going to change. I started out slow, treadmill every other day no more than 2 mph with an incline of 1.5 for 30 minutes and 30 minutes of basic stretching. My body wrecked with stress and lack of exercise that it did not know what to do. At first, it was very hard but little by little, my body started responding, very slowly. I could not bend half way over without my back feeling as if it was going to snap. I am now going into my 3rd month I can walk at 2.5 mph with an incline of 3.5 for 30 minutes daily, I can bend over and touch my toes and starting step aerobics. I know it does not sound like much but at this point in my life, it is a great accomplishment!
My body is trying to hold on to every ounce with all its might. I have pushed forward with very little difference showing on the scale but I am seeing a big difference in inches and the way my clothes are fitting.
I have 64 more pounds to lose and want to make sure I stay on track!
