Raw eggs

Does anyone else who is constantly consuming raw eggs, get that nagging fear in the back of their head, that one day they are gonna be very unlucky and get salmonella, maybe die, but definitely get sick enough to loose everything you've been working for the last few years?

I know the odds of getting it through raw eggs is really slim, but I eat anywhere 8-12 egg raw eggs (usually only whites) a day. The only reason I eat them raw is because I'm just way too sick of actually eating them cooked, pretty sick of cooking them too. I usually just put 6 whites in a protein shake blend it all up and I can't even notice I'm eating eggs.

Plus I also hear that usually salmonella is only found in the yolk or on the shell, I forget which one. Can anyone confirm this for me? I'm just wondering if i'm really running a big risk here or if it's just a bunch of hysteria around raw eggs? I've been doing this for years and haven't got sick once, so I've been really banking on the idea that it can't be that dangerous if I haven't contracted yet. Any other ways to lessen your chances of getting it through raw eggs?
