TDEE/BMR HELP!!!!

I am clueless about how many calories to eat, because even though I am losing... I am scared I am not quite getting it right. I feel like I eat too much, but if I am understanding my TDEE & BMR, I am actually not eating enough.

My TDEE is 2073.
BMR is 1432.
BMI says I am in the 'overweight' catagory.

Can someone please look at this and tell me how many calories I should be eating to lose weight... with on average 45 minutes of exercise 4 times a week? I guess you can call it moderate exercise, mainly cardio.

Heres some other stuff just in case you need it. I am seriously clueless. I have read article after article and still can't grasp it.

Female
Age 21
Weight 151
Height 5'4

Again, I mainly want to know how many calories to LOSE weight.

Edited to say: I normally eat 1400 calories a day. Just an estimate.

Are you working full time at a desk job or are you a college student running around campus or do you have a job that has you standing a lot?

Also... now that I see that I have to eat that many calories... I have a problem. lol. I can barely eat 1400! I guess maybe I have trained my body to fill full with less food. idk.

Try eating around 1950 calories, and see how you feel. You may have to adjust up or down a bit, and if you increase your workouts or intensity then you might need to readjust your calorie intake. For example, if you workout doing zumba for 60 minutes versus a stroll in the park with your grandmother - both are exercise, but the intensity is very different.

Scooby is another online calculator for TDEE, and it appears, the person calculated your settings with moderately active instead of lightly active.

Generally, with not a lot to lose (<30lbs), your goal should be 0.9*TDEE or maybe 0.85*TDEE at the most.

it can be hard to up your calories at first but you will quickly get the hang of it if you try. Remember to keep an eye on your macros- you want 40/30/30 (carb/protein/fat)-
you can look at my diary if you want, not that i'm a perfect eater or anything but you'll notice there are some high fat, high cal foods there that a typical dieter might be scared of- I eat cheese, I drink wine, I eat fish and peanut butter and nuts and seeds-
staying away from any 'diet' low-fat, artificially low-cal foods will help. eventually i decided to add a protein powder (GMO free, sweetener free, organic) to get enough protein and to add about 200 cals a day when I can't get enough.
