Walking Shoes for Obese

I need to invest in a better more supportive pair of shoes for going to the gym. I mainly do the treadmill, and just getting into the elliptical.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I am not looking to spend a ton of money, but I wouldn't be opposed to $40-$60 ish.

I would routinely check Ross or other outlet stores (Nike, Eddie Bauer, Columbia, North Face) to see what they rotate through. It may take longer to find what you're looking for and understand the limited budget thing.0

My favorite brand is Asics. I have extremely high arches and wear a custom orthotic that fits nicely in that shoe. They can be very pricey but I believe their basic shoe is around $60. Those with more support are around $110. I am not overweight, but invest all my money in my footwear as it helps prevent back and leg pain. I now realize as soon as my legs start aching it is time for new shoes.
Good luck in your search.0
