I am going out with my coworkers this evening- I drink beer & wine only and after an extensive research, here are the best options available for me:
RED WINE TOP THREE (5 oz):
Pinot Noir (121 cal)
Cabernet Sauvignon (122 cal)
Syraz (122 cal)
WHITE WINE TOP THREE (5 oz):
Riesling (118 cal)
Sauvignon Blanc (119 cal)
Pinot Grigio (122 cal)
BEER TOP THREE (regular bottle):
Michelob Ultra (95 cal)
Miller Light (96 cal)
Milwaukee's Best Light (98 cal)
Hope this will help you if you're trying to lose weight but don't wanna skip an happy hour with friends/ coworkers
PS: Obviously there are other options in the same calorie-range, but I tried to list the most common options.

how about having the one you like?0

If I'm being extremely strict but want a drink for the buzz, I stick with vodka sodas or vodka on the rocks.
But if I'm drinking for taste, I drink whatever sounds good.0 -
Sorry guys- I misled you with the title of my topic... I wasn't looking for recommendations, I just wanted to share with you what I found out and give you some suggestions Of course I'd love to listen to you opinions as well!0

Patron shots!.....and salsa n chips.0

I say portion control is the best tactic for drinking.0

A shot of GIN would only set you back 70 kCal, depending on the brand.0

I have a drink problem two hands and only one mouth:)0

I'll drink Michelob Light when hell freezes over.
Seriously, I would rather have one beer with good flavor, nevermind the calories, than five of those ultra light beers. You can drink bottled carbonated water the rest of the time if you feel pressured to have something in your hand that you paid the bartender for.0 -

Why bother drinking beer that tastes like water? I'd rather drink water or beer that tastes good to me and deal with the marginal calorie difference.0 -

HECK YEAH!! That's what I'm talking about. I'll be too hung over to wake up and eat anything the next day so it's all a wash in the end. hahahahahaha0 -

Milwhakee's best light?! Is that even a beer? I would rather drink water. Seriously. Go for the flavor and be moderate. Eat healthy. One night out isn't a problem. Continuing the habit, so I have heard, could be one.0

Vodka and diet anything. Mango vodka is my favourite
EDIT: I find it costs me around 300~ cals because if I had anymore than 4 I'd be on my tooshie.0 -
Light beer makes the baby Jesus cry.
Just drink what you are gonna drink and on't worry about it, its just one night!
Or: Make sure you get in a fight and log the exercise....0 -
I go with two glasses of wine, and then switch to soda water w/lemon wedge. Helps me get home safely also.0

Why not go for a full bodied beer? Surprisingly Guinness is only 120 cal for a 12oz bottle. The extra flavor is well worth the 35 calories.0

Exactly. That other stuff isn't beer. If 3 of those would cost you 300 calories, then have a Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA, put in your 292 calories and call it a night.0
