The reasons I love it. Great source of protein look up red star nutritional yeast in MFP library. According to the label there is 17g of protein in 3 tbsp. wow! Also great source of B vitamins. I love it on popcorn. I also live it as an alternate to Parmesan cheese. Basically any way you eat Parmesan you can probably eat this.

My diet is mostly vegan. I use it for "cheese" sauce, Alfredo sauce, and as a Parmesan substitute on pasta and popcorn. I like the flavor a lot.

I would guess if a person is vegan then it could be a replacement for parmesan and considering they generally fortify the yeast with B12 it looks like that's the market their going after anyway.

I love it! My favorite use for it is on popcorn.. it reminds me of nacho popcorn seasoning without the sodium, yet has protein, B12, and sodium free. :) It's also good with pasta!
