Problem Core or Core Problem?

Hi guys,
As part of my journey I'm discovering that my core problem (shrinking-wise) is my core! I have about 43kgs to go and am keeping an eye on this core. The plan is to lose the weight and then reduce body fat. I am assuming the core should be a little less unsightful by then. :-)

Any core problem holders out there care to be my movitational buddies? Feel free to add me.
Let's shred these core problems to fabulous and fit!!

Hi there, little confused! When you say your core, do you mean your stomach? You're saying that you're tummy is where you retain a lot of weight and you'd like to get rid of it right? Or are you talking about strengthening your core muscles?

Either way here's a livestrong post about core muscle groups http://www.livestrong.com/article/98988-core-muscles-body/
These are the muscles groups to work on to create a nice abdominal and strengthen your back (naturally helping out your posture!). Pilates is my fav core workout but there's plenty of other exercise out there you can try out. Here's a great free pilates blog though, I love Cassie http://www.blogilates.com/

For weight loss though make sure you're getting enough cardio and the all important calorie deficit. Unfortunately there's no way to target a certain part of the body when it comes to melting fat so with good cardio you'll see loss all over you. Also any weight loss will contribute to reducing your body fat percentage. You can calculate your body fat percentage here if you're interested: http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/mbf/

    Hope that helps x

Thanks :-) It's my tummy where the most weight is held. I would really like to work on it but I know I have to get rid of the extra weight before I can concentrate on toning etc and I am hoping the tummy would be looking much smaller by then.

Will check out those resources :-)
