Could someone kindly help me with my Macros please?

Hi guys,

I've searched the forums for advice on this so apologies for yet another thread on macros.
The ones I've found are all giving advice specific to the poster so none have really helped me.

In a thread today a couple of people suggested that to maximise body fat % loss, macros should be set to 50/30/20.

Is that 50% carbs or protein?
I thought it meant 50 protein, 30 carbs and 20 fat but I went in to check my current macros (set by MFP) and I'm currently at 50% Carbs, 25% Protein and 25% fat.

I'm eating at my TDEE -20% each day (1383 calories) I currently weigh 138.5lb, 5'3 and I workout a minimum of 3 times a week which is 2 running sessions and 1 yoga class.
I also started the 30 Day Shred last night, so the workouts will now now increase to 5 times a week.

I havent got a clue what my current body fat % is but it would be high, I'm not hugley overweight but I'm very flabby so I am guessing I need at least a 10% reduction.

Eurgh, I've waffled on a bit, sorry.
Back to my original point to this post - can someone advise me on my macros please?

Thank you.

PS - I am about to start to incorperate lifting into my weekly training as I know that is fantastic for reducing body fat.

I've set mine at 55/25/20, think I got that off here or maybe somewhere else online. The only thing I know is that people recommend you eat 1g of protein for every lb of weight. Mines only 25% protein as it's close to my weight lol.

Not that this helps at all

The numbers on the marcos are carbs / protein / fat.

The MFP settings put protein pretty low. Commonly recommended on here is 40/30/30 (carbs:protein:fat)

You should aim for at least around 1g of protein per lb of LBM.

    I think most recommend 40/30/30 (c/p/f) It's a well balanced diet.
