what is the best way to figure calories when cooking a recipe? Do i need to add the calories for each ingredient or is there an easier way to do it? also can I save the # of calories for a recipe I cook a lot?

You can add your recipes to MFP. Click on FOOD and then in the menu pick - Recipes.0

best way is to enter everything but you can then save it as a meal so its faster next time.0

I use the Recipe function so I only have to add all the ingredients for one particular recipe. All of the meals I make regularly are now stored in there to easily add to my diary whever I next make them.0

I've also noticed that some recipes from websites like allrecipes.com have already been added to the database, so if the recipe comes from a particular website or book you could check if it's already in there. If you're winging it, I guess you're on your own0
