HI guys, I need any advice on how to lose 5-7 pds quickly....I want this to be a healthy weight loss, no quick fixes with diet pills or the like. I've recently quit drinking diet sodas, (1 week today!)and trying to get in workouts but I have a deadline of March 18th and need help! Thank you for any input:)))

Why te deadline? 5-7 lbs will not really make much of a difference in terms of how your body looks.
There is no real way to take off that quickly and in a healthy manner. Diet pops will not change how you are losing weight.
Keep an eye on your sodium, ensure you are eating enough, eat fresh whole foods and prepare your meals yourself. Get in exercise and drink enough water.0 -
No such thing as a FAST and HEALTHY weight loss. You may lose 5 lbs of water weight that quickly but in all honesty, 5 lbs isn't going to make a difference in appearances unless you are already at a low weight.0

don't drink anything for 3 days prior to your deadline.0

don't drink anything for 3 days prior to your deadline.
Ignore this. Dehydrating yourself is not the answer and is extremely unhealthy.0 -

This may help for your deadline but it will not in the long run. Eat healthy, meet your target caloric needs and stay away from fast food! They are the worst! There are no quick fixes but constant dedication is key. The big win in the end is knowing you pushed through the hardships to make yourself healthier as well as stronger physically and mentally.0 -

That would mean losing 2 pounds/week which equates to 1,000 calories/day deficit between intake and expenditure. I started out doing that, but found out days ago that because 1,000 calories was nearly a 40% deficit from my estimated total daily energy expenditure (lookup up TDEE), it would cause my body's metabolism to slow. The article I read on here stated that a 20% reduction is a better option for sustained weight loss. For me, that meant a deficit of less than 500 calories/day. I hope you find this info helpful.0

You can lose 5 pounds in water pretty quickly, but as the others said not sure it will make the difference you think it will.
When I prepare for a vacation where I'll be in a bikini or tight dress (ie Vegas) I will usually drop 5 pounds in water weight, but more so it is just to debloat myself so I feel confident. For 14 days, I'll cut out dairy (which bloats ME), drink nothing but water (nothing carbonated), eat less carbs (especially fiberous carbs), and work out regularly. I usually feel pretty good by doing that. It obviously comes right back on but it is nice to feel confident going into a vacation.0 -
Thanks for all the information...let me specify that I am trying to lose this weight for my health, not necessarily appearance right now. Although that will be a plus! I'm having surgery on the 18th and the Dr suggested just a 5pd weight loss if I can. That does not seem out of reach or an unhealthy weight loss considering I have 19 days..To be at my goal weight for my height I need to lose around 35 pounds total....0

What is your height and weight? Lower your calorie intake but not too much because you still want to go strong for surgery. Try to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, and do something simple at home to exercise like the 30ds shred, you can get the video free on youtube. Just do level 1 until surgery so your body can be in better shape. If you are not physically able to exercise, just walk for 1-2 hours daily until D-day.0

cut out ALL processed food. That means bread and pasta too. And dairy. No sweets. Drink water. track track track your food.
that would be an excellent start.0
