Someone earlier said it was too humid here. It is pretty humid from around May through September, but we have great weather from October through early May. I mean the weather has been beautiful this month and will continue to be until hell on Earth arrives in June. Representing the North Side of Houston.

Born in Galveston Memorial Hospital in La Marque, Texas. I now live in Phoenix, AZ. You can take the girl out of Texas but ya can't take Texas out of the girl!

Right! When you leave Texas, you're just camping out! DFW area here.

I'm blessed to be a Texan! I'm about 50 miles south of Austin, and I spent 5 years in Houston and 7 years in San Antonio. I spent 17 years in other states and countries, but nowhere else measured up to Texas. My Yankee husband claims he got here as soon as he could. :drinker:

BTW, I'm reading a good book called TEXAS GOT IT RIGHT, by Andrew Wyly and Sam Wyly (Lousiana transplants). It's a fun, easy read and offers lots of history and statistics that make me more proud than ever to call myself a Texan.

From TX, but not living there now. Somebody yesterday made a comment about my TX accent. You really can't take the TX out of the girl!
