Portable snack options.

I am going to be spending all day Saturday at the rodeo surrounded by footlong corndogs, funnel cakes, pizza on a stick, bbq of every way shape and form, and fried stuff, if they can batter it they fry it, oreos, mini cheeseburgers, twinkies. And stuff dipped in chocolate, strawberries, cheesecake, bananas etc. Thank goodness it will be a day of walking as well. :)

What are some good snack options I can throw in my purse and take with me. Portable, can be kept at room temperature, don't require any prepping, prepping at home before I take it is no biggie I mean having to prep it while Im there something I can throw in a baggie or tupperware and then eat it when I get hungry.

100 calorie packs of raw almonds and Kind or Quest bars are my go-tos. Crackers, peanut butter, and other nuts/seeds would all be good options. Good luck!

I recently had two days of movie marathons for the AMC Oscar showcase, here's what I packed to survive the 11 hour and 14 hour days trapped inside a movie theater:

Quaker Quakes (or whatever they are called now) - 15g portion in a baggie (half a serving)
    Pretzels - 30g portion in a baggie (1 serving)
    Nutrition bar (Balance Bare)
Baby Carrots - 85g portion in a baggie (1 serving)
Lower Sodium Teriyaki Beef Jerky - 2oz portion in a baggie (2 servings)
Earthbound Farms Apple Crunchers - 1 single serve bag

Then I had dinner at the food court in the mall the theater was in (the only time we got a break to leave the theater). If I hadn't had the option of a dinner break, I would have packed myself a sandwich or a salad and put it in a small coolpack bag to bring with me. My husband actually did opt for a sandwich for a midday meal each day and it stayed more than cool enough for the meat and cheese in the small coolpack.

And other go-tos that I just didn't opt to pack for these days include:
    Almonds - 20g serving in a baggie
String Cheese (safe to keep at room temp for a while, just don't get hot)
    Crisp Snapeas
    Plantain Chips
Clif Builders Bars - for meal replacement option

It's hard to make sure to get protein on days like this since packable protein is harder. That's why I did a double serving of the beef jerky and opt for bars that have a close to 40/30/30 macro ratio.

fruits and veggies, whole grain crackers, emerald 100-calorie pack cocoa roast almonds (trust me, as a chocolate fix, and nutritionally of course, they're light years better than deep friend oreos)
