If you like berry cobblers...
Options
I love berry (blackberry, strawberry, blueberry...) cobblers and "crisps". This version tastes awesome! I was actually so shocked the first time I ate it that I ate TWO of them. :blushing: And, it is definitely better for you! The original recipe is called "Banana Berry Breakfast Crumble" and can be found on the Dannon website. Below is how I make it for one serving. I would have snapped a pic... but I ate it before I thought about that! LOL
Ingredients:
30 g Blackberries
30 g Strawberries
30 g Blueberries
1/2 pouch (14g) Better Oats "Oat Fit", Cinnamon Roll Flavored
1 tsp. Land O'Lakes Light Butter Spread With Canola Oil
50g Dannon Light-n-Fit Greek Yogurt, Vanilla
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
2. Cut up the strawberries (and blackberries if they are large) and put all the berries in a 4-inch ramekin. If the berries aren't very sweet (off season), sprinkle a little sugar or artificial sweetener on top of the berries.
3. Melt the butter and mix it into the oatmeal.
4. Drop the oatmeal/butter mix over the berries.
5. Bake for 10-15 minutes. The oatmeal should be lightly browned.
6. Let cool a few minutes, top with the yogurt, and eat!!
The original recipe calls for a frozen berry mix. I haven't tried that, but I would assume it wouldn't be much different than using fresh. Another option to limit the butter might be to put the oatmeal mix on top and spray with a bit of spray butter before baking.

To increase the protein, you could mix a little protein powder in with the yogurt. I've mixed banana and vanilla flavored powder in with yogurt and it's been good!
Bon Apetit!

Fabulous! I tried making a little bit of a crisp a few weeks ago and almost fell over when I saw how much butter I had to put in it and how many calories I ended up with.0
