I am doing P90x Lean, I am in week 8. I have seen my muscles changing, toning up, all over, but thats all going on under the fat that I don't seem to be losing. I am eatinghealthy 85%-90% of the time (my partner at work keeps bringing me sweets) I eat veggies and chicken and fish, oatmeal, all that.
I dont understand why I am not getting leaner, can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong?

If you're noticing muscles are toning up and your shape is changing, then don't get discouraged, you are on the right track! If you're not seeing the difference in the scale that's probably because you're replacing fat cells with lean muscle cells...those muscle cells weigh more than the fat cells. So while you're weight may not be changing as fast as you'd like, your overall shape is! Have you tried using body measurements rather than the scale to track your progress?
And keep at it...the more muscle you have on your body, the faster you will burn the fat cells off. Your metabolism will start to rev and you'lll become a fat burning machine! Just be patient (I know it's hard at times!) and you will see the result you want.0 -
You aren't doing anything wrong...aside from maybe giving into those sweet treats?? LOL..my biggest weakness too. But, so long as you enjoy those in moderation, you certainly are on the right track!! Like Firefrog76 stated, your body is in the process of replacing fat with muscle, and we all know that muscle weighs more than fat.
I wouldn't so much as rely on the scale, but how your clothes fit and how you feel. The scale is an unnecessary evil...for all of us!!
Keep at it and stay focused. Just remember that 75% of any weight loss success comes from proper nutrition. You could workout with P90X until you are blue in the face, but if your nutrition isn't dialed in, your results will be prolonged or just won't happen.
Did you follow the phased eating plan?
P.S. I'm starting my 4th round of P90X on Monday!!! I'm right there with you.

Well I measured. Overall, I have lost 2 inches and 5 pounds since starting p90x. I did 6 weeks before the holidays and stopped, then started up again 8 weeks ago, so over that time that is what I have done. I can feel my muscles for sure, they are toning up most definatly. I dont follow the eating plan to the letter, I eat healthy overall.
As long as i start to get leaner, the scale number doesnt bother me to much.0
