Ughhhh.

I hate when my family members go shopping. Ice cream, dark chocolate, twizzlers, candy bars..
Sabotage much? :grumble:

It's not a purposeful sabotage to what you are trying to do. They simply aren't changing their eating habits and are still buying what they like to eat. If they were sneaking bits of twizzler into your salads or melting ice cream and chocolate into your meals without you knowing, then they would be sabotaging you.

Part of this whole journey is learning to control urges and strengthen your willpower. Yes, we will always give in (and should give in) every now and again, but learning how to resist the natural temptations that are always there is part of what will help you be healthier in the long term.

I personally go out and buy snacks and candy that I never eat, because I like to pack some up in baggies for my husband to take to work with him when I'm making my food and snacks for myself. I'm not self sabotaging by buying them, because they aren't for me. And it's up to me to decide if I'm going to indulge in them at any point or if I'll leave them be.

Heck, I'm sitting at work right now with a giant bowl of Dove and Ghirardhelli chocolate in the aisle I'm in, a basket full of Kit Kats and Reese's Peanut Butter cups in the other aisle of my department, and the end table between the two aisles piled full of giant Costco muffins for the team. Nobody is making me eat any of it, but it's also my personal willpower and determination that's keeping me from digging in.

Just look at it as a way to make yourself stronger, mentally. :)

But.. But.. That sounds hard! Kidding, kidding. But really, everyone in my family is on a "diet" except for my brother. Get those bad foods away from me, stop buying them!
