Hi guys I am new to all this and I look forward to getting to know a bunch of people going through the same thing as me! I need as much support as possible, most of my friends are tiny and my mom is a size zero while eating Mexican food three times a week so not much support in my everyday life!
People always warn you about the freshman fifteen or the sophomore spread but nobody tells you about becoming a beached work whale. I have put on more weight since I started working than I could have ever imagined and now it is time to do something about it.
I am combining workouts and eating right and am ready to start the long steady track to getting back to feeling like myself again. I never realized how many different areas of life weight could really cause problems in. It is what it is at this point and now it is time to work to take it off!
P.S. My picture is of a weight range I want to get back to...it inspires me to see it everyday!

    Welcome!

This site is wonderful. Keep posting and check out all the different topics...there's something-or-two for everyone.

Good going...you've taken a great step to getting healthy.

It's such a change of lifestyle now that you're becoming an adult with adult responsibilites, but it also means that you'll have all the control to manage your life and the new healthier changes that are so important to staying happy and healthy...

Be good to yourself! Prioritize your life...you'll get there. You're so young and already realize where you should be. That's half the battle. Now get out there and find those things that'll keep you focused! We believe in you!

Long, steady is right. And if you stick to it, you'll reach your goal. Good luck. I've been staying on target with MFP (with just a few bad days) for six weeks, and it's not so bad at all. I like falling asleep at night knowing I met my goal instead of praying I won't overeat the next day like I did that day.
