Recently my nutritionist told me to add flax seed powder to my diet. I understand it has good fats and fiber. I generally add it in my oatmeal. Is it good for weight loss?? I am looking for losing around 30kgs. Plz advice..

No food is/isn't "good for weight loss" that depends on how many calories you eat. However, flax seeds are very healthy and I use them in my oatmeal, too.0

Flax is high in fiber and creates a sense of fullness for a longer period of time; it doesn't take much. :-)0

Yes flaxseed powder is a high source of omega 3 fatty acids and are rich in fibre. They are also full of lecithin. Lecithin breaks up the fat that your food has left in the digestive tract. These are unwanted fats that are trapped in your body until the lecithin helps get rid of them so they do not turn into body fat.Add it to your smoothie, drinks, oatmeal or any other meal n u have a full feeling which wud prevent you from loading more food and binging!Thats how dear it helps in weight loss:-)BTW my deitician even suggested the same.1 tbsp of flaxseed powder has roughly 33 calories with a fiber content of 2.7gms!!!!!So you can imagine how rich it is in fiber:-)0

I'm pretty sure your nutritionist wants you to use flax for the health benefits, not for weight loss.0

Agreed. There aren't certain foods that make you lose weight or gain weight.0
