Teeny tiny NSV

Hi all,
I've been on MFP for almost a year now, I joined in March 2012 and managed to lose 10lbs back then and was pretty proud that I could do it having been a bit of a yo-yoer since my teens. I only logged for about 2 months and then got bored and went off track BIG time and put all the weight I'd lost back on plus an extra couple of pounds. I felt huge, unattractive and lethargic again and gave myself a good talking to at Christmas and decided that I would beat the belly from 1st January. I'm getting married in 2014 so the aim is to lose the weight slowly, healthly and consistently so that time doesn't whizz past and then I panic about my weight a few months before the big day and have to go on a crash diet (they simply don't work for me, I'm not one for starving myself or cutting out food groups).
I started back on my healthy eating/exercise on January 1st 2013, and within my first month I had lost 11lbs and colleagues, friends and family had started complimenting me. I had a slight blip a couple of weeks a go and didn't do any exercise but still aimed to eat healthy and gained 2lbs. On a plus, his break must have boosted my weight loss as now I'm down 16lbs, half way to my goal and pulling my belt in by 2 notches!! My fiance has also been throwing the compliments my way and appreciating the new me
I'm so pleased with myself and what better motivation than to physically see the difference on my belt! I'm determined to keep going this time, but I do have to keep reminding myself that it's not a race and I can take my time as the future benefits far out-weigh the speed in which the goal is acheived.
Good luck everyone, each and every single teeny tiny NSV makes a massive difference

First of all, congraaaaaaaaaaats!
Then, the NSV about the belt is not that tiny you know! It's one of the best proof your body has changed. it even works when you don't lose weight so it's a very nice and not so tiny NSV to me!
Keep up the great work, i'm sure you're alreadu beautiful and you will feel even more beautiful for your wedding for sure0 -
