Hello, I am new here. I would appreciate any tips or advice for weight lifting or new healthy foods and recipes to try.

#1 read the labels. this step will help you to avoid, what i call "belly bombs", the high fat high calorie foods like ranch dressing.
#2 poultry is your best friend, but as always and especially with poultry, practice good sanitation
#3 exercise
#4 do not get discouraged! everyone loses at different rates. men will lose weight faster than women and fat people (like me) will melt away pounds while you still seem to be thawing out.
#5 start weight lifting with smaller weights and then move up. once you know what weights you can handle - give your self a challenging work out.
#6 on the treadmill and eliptical - the steeper the incline the more calories burned.0
