i noticed about 2 days ago that my foot was hurting, and i thought it was my arch, but last night after my workout, it was worse, so i sat down to pinpoint the pain site. its not exactly the arch, but a spot in between the arch and my ankle. i slightly pushed on it, and it was so painful, and i noticed was a little bit red and swollen. i havent bumped it into anything, and my workouts havent been anything more strenuous than usual..any ideas what it could be? i know you may say see a doctor about it, but i dont have an appointment until next week. i dont have the option to stay off it, since i am always busy, but until i can see a doc, should i wrap it in a bandage or anything ? what could have caused it ?

Anything could have caused the pain! I get pains all of the time because my job requires me to stand monday-friday 7am-5pm and then I go to class afterwards and then workout after that. Needless to say, I am on my feet all day. What I have found that helps pain is ice and heat. Also, a nice foot massage. If it is a sharp pain, I would go see a doctor or go to an urgent care as soon as possible. If you wait too long, and it has a small break, the doctor will re-break your foot and TRUST ME IT IS NOT GOOD! Also try changing your shoes mid-day or buying insoles! It really helps with pain!
