Create a Motivational Vision Board

When I first started losing weight last year, a friend of mine suggested making a Vision Board. I found it helpful to find inspirational quotes, and pictures that symbolized how I felt, or how I wanted to change my life.

Just find what inspires you.

It's easy to do by either cutting pictures/words from magazines and gluing to a poster board or make an electronic one by opening any image editor or PowerPoint, search the web for interesting motivational images and copy/paste/insert them into a collage.

With it on your computer you can save it as a desktop background, or simply open and view it every now and then to give yourself motivation and remember why you are on this journey.

Here is mine (open the link to see the full image):

I thought it was helpful, hopefully others will too.
  • You may want to try http://GoalsOnTrack.com. It has a digital vision board, you can upload your own pictures or pick from default gallery, and even add your favourite musick.

Love it! Hubby and I have something like this on our fridge. It's fitness, nutrition and anything else we want to achieve.

my therapist suggested this to me a couple years ago and I kind of ignored it. I've actually started using pinterest for something similiar, creating a dream board to pin things I want to be able to do or have or fit into. It really does help with the motivation. And it's free and easy.
