I am interested in starting a very basic lifting program at home. What are the essential items needed for start-up at home? Appreciate any advice from experienced pals. Thank you!

Bench, rack (I just have a little one, no power rack for me, it's on my "wish list", though), bar and plates. Dumbbells are optional, but sometimes helpful. If you can't get all that right now (it can get pricey, even used), then you might look into a set of adjustable dumbbells or even some resistance bands.0
