Any suggestions on how to determine a serving size when it says "1 slice". We are celebrating a birthday today, having German Chocolate Cake. I want to prefigure so I know how many calories I'm using and how I need to adjusts other meals/snacks to accommodate the calories. Help ?!?!

Did you make it from a box or did someone else make it? I know the boxes say how big a slice is, but I don't know how to actually figure it if it's homemade.
I looked at the cake on here, and one of them says 1 out of 12 pieces. So that would be an 9 x 12 I would think.
Maybe just take an average of them and see roughly how many calories you have allotted for the cake.

If its homemade I would add all the ingredients into the recipe calculator and make the number of servings however many slices the cake will be. If its a box cake then it should be more specific than one slice.

It's bakery made - they make fresh (made to order) cakes daily, but they don't have any nutritional info on their website.

I would pick a higher calorie store bought one that is approximately the same size. That's what I did with the boston creme cake I had at my co workers celebration.

It's going to be a guess no matter what you do. But I'd say 1/12 is an average cake slice.
