Okay lifters I have a question for you!!
When you are recording how much you are lifting, do you count the bar in the weight or not? I mean its 45 pounds so I'd like to count it, but I don't want to if that's not what everyone else does haha

Yea usually people count the bar. w/e you do just be consistent so your records aren't all screwed up.
ETA: In the future if you switched away from an olympic style bar you would want to have recorded everything, other bars can be as light as 15lbs.0 -
We only had three bars at our gym, and they all varied in weight.
I'd say include the bar weight.0 -

definetly count it...
but, there are two e-z curl bars at my gym, they both clearly are different weights, and i'm really not sure how much either one of them weighs.
in that instance, i'd just write done the weight of the plates and which bar i used (heavy or light). that way i can still effectively track progress without really needing to know the exact amount of weight.
so by that logic, i guess it really doesn't matter anyway unless someone is asking you 'how much can you bench' lol0 -
